Pengadegan Head Accommodates Ciliwung Riverbank Residents Aspirations

Pengadegan Urban Village Head accommodates aspirations of Ciliwung Riverbank residents at RW 01 and 02, Pengadegan Urban Village, Pancoran Sub-district, South Jakarta. Residents from those three RTs and two RWs were controlled due to river normalization planned by Jakarta Provincial Government.

But they want to be relocated to Pengadegan Flat

"Actually residents do not have any objection if their houses had to be controlled. But they want to be relocated to Pengadegan Flat," said Pengadegan Urban Village Head, Monday (10/23).

He explained, in accordance to South Jakarta National Land Board (BPN) inventory, there are 78 land plots which occupied by 168 families or around 300 residents. It is planed RT 08/RW 01 and RT 08/RW 02 buildings will be controlled.

Yasin (51), resident of RT 08/01, Pengadegan Urban Village said, residents accept the fact that their houses will be controlle d.

"But we want affected residents due to normalization could be relocated to Pengadegan Flat," he said.

He wanted residents to be relocated to the flat because it is very close to settlement and will not give much affect on residents' activities.

South Jakarta Public Housing and Settlement Area Sub-dept. Head, Yaya Mulyarso said Pengadegan Flat is an 16-storey building with 194 units and has lift facility. Its construction is planed will be completed on December 2017.

"As plan, affected residents due to river normalization is prioritized for Pengadegan Flat," he closed.
